Born in the U.S.A. is the seventh studio album by American rock singer-songwriter Bruce Springsteen, released on 4th June 1984 by Columbia Records.
All tracks on the album were written by Springsteen and it produced seven top-10 hit singles.
Born in the U.S.A. became Springsteen’s most commercially successful album and one of the highest-selling records ever, having now sold over 30 million copies. It has also been cited by critics as one of the greatest albums of all time.
Hit tracks include Born in the U.S.A, Dancing In The Dark and I’m On Fire.
In 2003, Rolling Stone ranked Born in the U.S.A. number 85 on their list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time it was included in the book 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die.
It received a nomination for Album of the Year at the 1985 Grammy Awards.
