G.I. Blues is the third soundtrack album and seventh (overall) album by American singer and musician Elvis Presley, released in October 1960 by RCA Victor.
The album is the soundtrack to the 1960 musical comedy film of the same name in which Presley stared.
It enjoyed massive chart success in the UK and USA peaking at the top of the official album charts.
Hit tracks include G.I. Blues, Wooden Heart and Pocketful of Rainbows.
G.I. Blues was nominated for two Grammy Awards in 1960 in the categories Best Sound Track Album Or Recording Of Original Cast From A Motion Picture Or Television and Best Vocal Performance Album, Male.
